Elegant Art Nouveau Salter's weighing scales, originating from the early 1900s.

These antique scales are restored: the cast iron body is cleaned and resprayed; the paper face reprinted to cleanly display the Salter Staffordshire Knot Trademark; the calibration mechanism repaired, and the surrounding brass fixing ring restored.

The scales are in good working order, as at the turn of the 20th century; a testament to great functional design. You can easily set and reset the scales via a turning screw at the rear.

You can lift away the base, and we show in photographs the underside remaining grey with screws allowing you to change fabric covering to match your decor.
