SOLD French vintage marble and brass occasional table in Louis XV Rococo style

We love a bit of playful theatre here at Black Phone Vintage!

This elegant marble and brass table, originating from the 1950s, is an honour to the French Rococo style. All curves, embellishments, scrolls and twirls in a large brass frame, this low table presents a beautiful cool marble top, weaving a palette of orange, browns and creams into a delicious whole.

As an occasional table placed in a living room, this lovely light-reflecting piece adds a dash of style below a gilt-framed mirror. In the hallway, add a vase of scented lilies. In the bathroom, soft white towels. In the bedroom, howabout a gentle throw of luxurious silk lingerie?

We could go on, but we took it onto the terrace for a champagne anticipation.

Dressing up this table is pure fun - and we know you'll do the same, indoors and out - matching natural colours and materials with stone, glass, metals and silks.

Now, we'd love to see it at your place! A great price on an item sourced from the south of France and transported to England, waiting for your own playful moments of oh-la-la!

The table has been cleaned and restored, but we know when to stop - at Black Phone Vintage our philosophy is to honour those who have gone before us.

Pre-loved furniture brings us closer to the people who have handled these objects and who collected them, used them, and loved them. We want a little of their lives to pass to you. We never clean to remove their stories, nor present an item as if it has no history to whisper. The marble top tells of the usage of loving years; the brass legs show the marks of ages. More beautiful to touch, more beautiful to own, and waiting for your ownership to make its mark.

As the item is both heavy and fragile, we'd like to deliver your new table ourselves, free of charge to within 100 miles of Milton Keynes. To enquire about our (modest) rates further afield, pop along to the Black Phone Vintage Etsy shop.
